Let me ask you my friend if you are someone who is moved by the sound of ocean waves? Are you someone who looks at the moon and wonder about the nature of humanity? Do you look at the stars and feel awe for the vastness of the universe?

My friend, are you someone who still trembles at the kiss of a loved one, feeling as if love took over your soul? Can you still fall in love, not expecting to have your love reciprocated? Are you someone who gives more than you take? Are you someone who smiles even when you feel like screaming?

Tell me, my friend, are you still capable of seeing the world as if it was all new, with eyes of learning and discovery? Are you still in touch with your inner child who wants to play, dance and say it as it is?

Let me ask you, do you prefer to be real or fake? Do you live for others or yourself? Do you love as if there was no risk in doing so? Do you fight to build and protect what is good? Do you see your family and say: I love you exactly as you are!

Do you cry when you feel the hug of your child, your parent, your spouse or your friend? Are you capable of kneeling, humbling yourself with the thought of something greater than all of us? Do you respect your wise elders?

Do you work to make money or to add value to the world? Are you a slave of materialism or do you enjoy what you have, knowing it won't last?

Tell me, are you willing to sacrifice it all for true love? Are you willing to risk your reputation for the sake of honor? Are you willing to endure for the sake of doing what's right? Can you take calumnies when you put yourself out there to do something great?

Tell me, do you live to be accepted or to accept all? Do you live only for pleasure or do you find pleasure in your own being? Do you ever let it all out and dance as a celebration of life? Do you ever ponder if there is life beyond earth?

Tell me, do you face reality as it is and still love it? Do you ever think that you or those you love may not be alive tomorrow? Do you value them more?

Tell me, can you shake with fear when you think about letting go of your pride and still let love take you over? Tell me, are you willing to sacrifice to give the best to your offspring? Do you respect life?

Let me ask you, if you look at yourself in the mirror do you feel tenderness? Do you feel love? Do you feel amazement? When you look into your eyes can you feel your soul? Can you see the one who is behind?

Tell me, do you like making love with the passion of desire uplifted by the touch of someone you love? Do you think, I love you! Do you tell them? Or do you keep it to yourself?

Tell me, when you are naked and see your body, do you respect what you see? Or are you like an angry father with a child who doesn't know better? Tell me, are you willing to treat your body as if it was someone you care about? Tell me, do you ever say to it, I am sorry for the way I've treated you; I will be better?

Tell me, are you willing to never give up on life? Are you willing to not only survive and consume, but create and consciously build what you want to leave behind when you go?

Tell me friend, can you accept and own it, if I say to you:

You are valuable, you are beautiful, you are good, you are worthy, you are lovable, you are a child of the universe, you are a magnificent creation.

If I say:

You are.....you are...you exist, right here...right now. Do you feel appreciation for your being? For your awareness?

Tell me friend, can you accept my friendship and that of every person who cares about you? Can you let your heart be open and vulnerable? Can you withstand all setbacks for the sake of someone's lips kissing yours....feeling in that touch all of what we humans are and struggle for?

Tell me, can you sit with yourself and cry to release the sadness of your losses? To free yourself from the anger of injustices lived? To feel deep compassion for other's pain? Or because you think of yourself as someone who is trying to do good but stumbles along the way? Can you see yourself like that?

Tell me, my friend. Can you own your goodness? Can you let your light reveal your darkness without being confused by both? Can you look up right now and say:

I love life! I love living! I am in love! I live in love, for love and by love! I am grateful for all that I've lived, the good and the bad, the beautiful and the ugly! I will learn and be better, I will improve and do better! I am as good as any other and I am me! I am all of humanity represented in me! I am, I am and that is enough! I am, I am, there's nothing more I need to be! I am, I am and that is good!
