Abundance & Lack

We all carry within us a pain we are unaware of. Many of us feel alone within our skin, not knowing who or what we are. Many of us look at the world, feeling inadequate or different. Many of us feel like crying, not for our weakness but for our loneliness.
Our mind seeks to understand what we are about. Our mind seeks to know this weird world in which we live; a world where people kill each other, where people steal, where people want to control others.
We live in a world of lack. There are not enough resources for us, or so we believe. We believe we need to fight to survive. We feel we need to protect, if we are to stay alive.
Some say this is our nature (to be primitive), and that of the world. This may be true if we were only animals, but we are not; we are humans, who are and can be aware of ourselves, and have the choice of acting primitively or nobly. We are capable of doing what is right, and not what’s easy or feels good.
We are capable of higher pursuits. We know this because many of us, in the present and past, have proven it is possible. They have been, and are, our examples that we are not only beasts of the wild.
I don’t believe it is true that there are not enough resources for all to have a decent standard of living. We have enough to feed most of the population of the world, we have enough resources for the many sick among us. We have enough to have a dwelling for each person on earth.
Why don't we have it?
Because most people are asleep, being guided only by fear: fear of not having, of not being accepted, of not fitting in. Fear of dying, fear of losing, fear of failing. Because of this, many seek to control and to amass wealth for its own sake, not to produce for all to benefit.
Is that all that we are? Is that as much as we can aspire to?
How much money do you think we spend on arms every year?
How much do you think our government publicly and covertly spends to control it's people?
How much money do you think is spent in advertising, on indoctrinating people as to who they should believe they are, what they should want and how they should live.
These indoctrinations run deep within us; they are subconscious programs that cause conscious behaviors. We are not masters of ourselves, as long as other's intent is covertly inserted into our subconscious minds. And if we are impulsive and unaware, who are the masters?
What is life but an opportunity to awaken, as we fight our primitive nature in order to become in touch with our souls? What is life but an opportunity to discover our power within. Free then, we can help others find release and get out of this primitive prison that exists in us and all of humanity.
But freedom cannot occur until we awaken and see, until we take the reigns of our minds and emotions. Not until we despise being numb will we become honest and see how sick we have been.
With open eyes, with open hearts and the willingness to grow, we can let the giant within express in the world. This is the truly powerful one: the one that does not lack, the one who loves and cares, the one that knows we are enough, and the one who cares for others as it does for himself.
Oh love, elixir of the awakened, drink of the truly powerful, substance that glues all that exists. In it we live, and in it we are, whether we know it or not.
Let's let this love melt our fear, let's let our compassion enter the “power seeking” ones, and let's rebuild our institutions from the ground up with skillful humanitarians.
Then we will not seek to amass, but to build for all. We would not seek to protect or to fight but to share. This would make us rich, but being rich would not be our main goal. Our goal would be to produce that which betters others as we better ourselves.
Then humanity will no longer believe in poverty, either of the material world or of the soul. We will all seek to educate to bring the wealth of the soul to all. No longer will disconnected people spread ignorance to control others and maintain power.
We are the ones to choose what will be. It may take a few years or centuries, but a start towards the good is always a good start. So let's begin with a look within and a recognition of what's real.
Let's value honesty and truth as we value our life. Let's let this solid awareness stay with us forever, giving us the strength to carry on. And we will know we are not crazy, because we do not seek to be sick with lack and trapped in fear.
Oh love, oh life, oh awareness. Oh honesty, oh truth, oh existence.
Let's sing an ode to joy, and pray the prayer of gratitude for living always in completion: knowing we are, knowing we are abundant, and knowing we are full. Give then these riches to all you meet because you know you will never run out; these riches actually grow as you give them.
Go now my friend and spread the word: the word that we are not poor, we are not weak, and we are not "not enough".
Let the good news be known: the news that we are beautiful, powerful, complete and lovable. Let the world know that there is a way out of our madness. This way can be earned with earnest work, humbleness and compassion.
Oh my friend go in, go on, and know that many are waiting to see you and hear you.
With love,
Edgar Boone
